First Week in Lewiston! This email was sent three weeks ago!

Greetings from Lewiston!

This week has been CRAZY! Im an now currently serving in the Lewiston 1s ward and let me tell you..IT IS WONDERFUL!! We have the most incredible ward. Our ward mission leader is one of the most amazing people i have met my whole mission. He is so close to the spirit it blows my mind. We had an investigator who was going through a hard time and she knelt down to pray, and just as she said Amen, us three knocked on her door. He has given more time and heart into his calling than anyone i've seen my whole mission. To say the least, im STOKED to serve with him.

MY COMPANION IS AN ANGEL! Lord knew I needed her this transfer. Her name is sister Woodfield from Highland Utah, and her mom sings in the mo tab!!  She is a sister training leader with me and we have taught better together this first week that i have taught with any one of my companions my whole mission. We gave the restoration for the first time together at a baptism this last saturday and the spirit was so strong it was the greatest feeling in the whole world. We are going to see miracles, MINUS THE ONES WE'VE ALREADY SEEN!

one miracle: So we went to contact a less active named sister covert. Her address led us to this massive trailer park and as we walked to the middle of it we realized the ward list didn't have which number she lived in. Confused at where to go but SURE we needed to be there we walked and almost immediately BOTH turned and walk up to this door. a woman came out and said, "oh sisters, i am so terribly sick im not sure if i can even stand up." ...we looked at eachother and said "sister Covert is that you?" and she said "yes, i've been praying to get better but i cant even drive myself to the hospital, could i get a priesthood blessing?" OUT OF ALL THE TRAILERS TO KNOCK ON. That's just a small example of how much Heavenly Father truly loves His children. He will always put us in their paths is we are obedient and faithful!

I have seen so many miracles but the greatest miracle I've seen is how much the Lord truly has changed who I am. I am growing every single day and I couldnt be happier where i am, who im with and with what im doing. I know im doing my Heavenly Fathers will, and there truly is no greater joy in the whole world than that. The Lord has taught me so much this week and I know I would not be here today if it werent for my Savior. I want you each to reach out to someone this week and invite them to attend Easter sunday service with you!! The Lord wants now more than ever for His children to learn about their brother. Help His work along!

I love you all!! HAPPY EASTER!!:)

Oh!  So this is Lewiston, ID

Last week and THIS week's letters!

SOOOO i figured out that my letter i sent last week didnt send:) hahaha so here it is and i'll add a little at the end!:)

(last weeks)
Happy late Easter everyone!!!

Wow i love easter. I hope you all had a chance to watch the video "Beacause of Him" on LDS.org. Holy smokes it was incredible. I think I watched it a total of 50x showing it to everyone. The absolute greatest part about that was that we would hold the ipad for them so they could watch it and i got to see their faces as they watched it! That was probably the greatest part about this easter. The Moms would gather there kids around and read them the words as the pictures showed up. There was not one mom or dad that could make it through without tearing up. It was so sweet. The spirit this easter was amazing! My and sister Woodfield got to sing in our sacrament so that got a lot of our investigators to church!:) We sang "Savior Redeemer, of my soul". it was awesome.

SO our miracle this week: Last P day I wanted to go to good will(washinton DI) and get some things and as we were shopping and woman came up to us and started hugging us saying "Oh sisters! I just love sisters!" we asked her if she was a member and she said no! We ended up getting her address and invited her to church! I have never met someone to willing and open it was awesome! The very next day the YSA sisters that we live with ran into her at the hospital and got her number for us! that was crazy. Then we went to her home for a visit and she explained how she use to investigate the church but chose to go to the baptist one down the street. One year she got surgery and couldn't attend church for a while so this sunday she tried going back and not one person welcomed her in and said hi so she left and the very next day she ran into us at good will and felt she needed to start meeting with the missionaries again!! she came to church and she told us that she wants to be baptized! she is amazing!

I wanted to go over some of the highlights from Conference cause it was seriously incredible. I wrote down 6 questions and they were all answered perfectly. The Church is so true. Its amazin as I've goen back and studied them how much the spirit has taught me.

I loved Gary E Stevens how he said:

"You are an eternal being. This Life is your 4 min to do as the Lord said "We will prove them here with to see if they will do whatsoever the Lord their God shall command them"
He compared our life to our "4 min" and how we He also talked about how the covenants we make with God are our markers

(this week!)

so this weeks updates. I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY! the end, Fine i'll give a little more detail.
our investigators are doing wonderful!! we put Kayla on date to be baptized may 16th! she is the most prepared person i know! We taught her family last week almost every single day. She has a boy friend who is less active and they have been living together since junior year in high school and STILL NOT MARRIED....i know we had a wonderful talk with them. She is literally willing to do ANYTHING to continue to prepare for baptism. She is planning on getting marries(which is HUGE for her) and she has quit smoking, drinking, and everything else Babylon has help her captive of these past 10 years! She is seriously incredible. She has truly felt the peace this Gospel has to offer and she knows it cant be found any where else!

THE GOSPEL IS SO TRUE. its crazy. I just cant explain how much I just LOVE being a missionary. I see people day after day growing, changing, and experiencing all their Savior has to offer. I can now understand why He told peter " When thou art converted, go and strengthen thy brethren." BECAUSE THERE IS NOTHING BETTER. If there is one thing I've grown to love on my mission is all my trials. The closer I get to my Savior the more i learn about who I am and what i need to do to become more like Him. Its hard sometimes but the feeling of overcoming trials is like none other. I am stronger today than 11 months ago in ways i couldnt even describe.

His promise is real!
" 27 And if men come unto me I will show unto them theiraweakness. I bgive unto men weakness that they may be humble;and my cgrace is sufficient for all men that dhumble themselvesbefore me; for if they humble themselves before me, and havefaith in me, then will I make eweak things become strong untothem."

I testify that THAT is Gods truth:)
I love you all!! have an awesome week and make someone elses!

Last morning jog with my baby!

Transfer to LEWISTON, IDAHO and GENERAL CONFERENCE HIGHLIGHTS!

Hello everyone!!

SO. the transfer news..After a wonderful 8 months.........IM GOING TO LEWISTON 1ST WARD! crazy! I cant even describe to you how perfect it feels! I have guessed right every single time we get transfer calls and when they said Lewiston I KNEW thats exactly where i need to be.

I had to say a lot of goodbyes yesterday and that was pretty hard. I love the people here so much. Sister Colvin was probably the hardest goodbye. She looked at me with tears and said "But we didnt make it to the temple yet." about ripped my heart in half. I told her " Not YET sister Colvin not YET!" Im going to ask my president if I can come back and go through the temple with her when she goes. words cant describe how excited i am for that day. Not to mention Ed, the Heuetts, Sister Weinman, and the Fletchers! They should all be going to the temple within the next 8 months!! This work is so great! I cant even describe how grateful I am to have part in it.

I have seen so many miracles in this area. I know the Lord is behind this work. The greatest miracle I've seen in this area is the way the Lord has changed me. He's taught me so much these last 8 months here. I cannot imagine what He has in store these next 8!

my favorite quotes from conference:
"Love is the very essence of the gospel of Jesus Christ … May we begin now, this very day, to express love to all of God’s children, whether they be our family members, our friends, mere acquaintances, or total strangers,” he said. “As we arise each morning, let us determine to respond with love and kindness to whatever might come our way.”

"We cannot truly love God if we do not love our fellow travelers on this mortal journey. Likewise, we cannot love our fellow men if we do not love God, the Father of us all. ... We are all spirit children of our Heavenly Father and, as such, are brothers and sisters. As we keep this truth in mind, loving all of God’s children will become easier.”

I testify that the Lord expects us to bring souls unto Him by inviting ALL men to come unto Christ, and by doing that, find Him ourselves. It truly is “the thing … of the most worth unto you.” (D&C 15:6) Our very ordination is “to preach faith and repentance and remission of sins, according to His word” (D&C 53:3), “that you may bring souls unto him.” It is the greatest offering that man can give to God.

I love you all!! share the gospel and SO WILL I!

Tanya and Tezaylee

Hello everyone:)

What an amazing week. So everyone in my ward has pretty much been saying bye to me so I'm thinking I might get transfered next week haha not sure how I feel about it but I have felt 100% confident every transfer but I am completely blank this transfer! I have no idea what the Lord has in store.

There is an amazing woman named Tanya that we met this last week. She has been through so much in her life. There has been a lot of sad stories I've heard on my mission but nothing could compare to what Tanya and her family has been through. This week we got to go help her move into a home. she has just gotten out of the hospital with her new baby. and the baby has a severe case of gert (I think that's what its called) and a bunch of other things and is constantly in pain :(

We took Tanya to the Women's broadcast this last saturday and she was crying the whole time all the 8 year olds stood up. We were so worried about her baby though The most amazing part was, her baby for the first time that night stopped crying as all the women started to sing! After the conference we asked if the stake president could give her a blessing. She was screaming the whole night up until the moment the Stake President put their hands on her head. SHE WAS SILENT THE WHOLE BLESSING!  Her baby Tezaylee kept shifting her head and looking up behind our shoulders the whole time and smiling and there was no one behind us. Tanya said that was the first time she saw Tezaylee smile in weeks! We have seen so many miracles with Tanya and her family! I know the Lord has big plans for them.

The core of my testimony is that the Gospel blesses us. I know God has given us this glad message so that we can have the best life possible. Also the knowledge that has come to me from living the Gospel is priceless, it has given me an eternal perspective to all things. I am able to know where I must stand in all situations and will be able to stand on the Lord's side each time. I know that God loves each and everyone one of his children. If we have eyes to see His hand in our lives we will be amazed at how close he is. He hears and answers our prayers exactly, I have had my prayers both heard, acknowledged and answered. Heavenly Father constantly looks for ways to bless His children.

We must develop the capacity to see men not as they are at present but as they may become.

You are constantly surrounded by your brothers and sisters! I want you all to do everything in your power to reach out and lift someone up. everyday bring someone closer to Christ and I promise you will come so much closer to Him in the process. I love you all so much! have a great week and see miracles!
